Just as the restaurant was once the Lodge’s Carriage Room so the bar was once the stables and despite being built over 150 years ago the stalls and mangers have survived intact and as a result the Stable Bar has a unique atmosphere.

With Peroni on draught and a range of local bottled beer from our Cockermouth based brewery together with a range of wines and spirits plus a full and interesting wine list from our wine merchant in Kendal we have something to please every taste.
