We are proud to have held an AA Rosette for our food for the last 9-years. In the words of the AA “Rosettes are solely awarded by our hotel and restaurant Inspectors, and external influences from hotels, restaurants or other guides are not taken into account. About 10% of restaurants nationwide are of a standard that is worthy of one Rosette and above. These restaurants achieve standards that stand out in their local area. They serve food prepared with care, understanding and skill, using good quality ingredients.”

Although we have two eating venues, the Coach House Restaurant and the Stable Bar Bistro they operate with single combined menu so offering a wide choice of dishes to be enjoyed in two quite different settings with the Coach Restaurant House offering a more formal atmosphere.  It is of course your choice where you want to have your table!  A sample menu is shown on this page and a Specials Board will also be available.

With a short break when he travelled around Europe pursuing his interest in good food, James has been with us since 2012 and was responsible for us gaining our AA rosette in 2013. His style of food is modern British, making the very best of the wonderful local ingredients from the region in which we have the privilege to live.
