The Stable Bar & Bistro

Although we have two eating venues, the Coach House Restaurant and the Stable Bar Bistro they operate with single combined menu so offering a wide choice of dishes to be enjoyed in two quite different settings with the Bistro offering a less formal atmosphere. It is of course your choice where you want to have your table!  A sample menu is shown on this page and a Specials Board will also be available.

Just as the restaurant was once the Lodge’s coach house so the Stable Bar Bistro was once the stables and despite being built over 150 years ago the stalls & mangers have survived intact and as a result the Stable Bar has a unique atmosphere.

The Stables is also our bar where we offer draught Peroni & Guinness as well as a range of local bottled beers. We have the usual of drinks you would expect in any well stocked bar we also have a collection of single malt whiskies and a variety of gins to choose from including our very own Ravenstone Gin.

We have an interesting wine list from our wine merchant in Kendal with some 45 wines designed to offer something to please every palate plus a few you may not have come across before!
